Joining the church
One wishing to join the church from another parish brings a transfer letter given by their former Parish Office. This enables a smooth transition and addition into the church's register.Individuals from other churches are also welcome, in such cases, one undergoes an induction course after which you will be admitted into the PCEA Evergreen Church.
Evangelist Purity is the Church Evangelist who oversees the training and induction of new members. Other activities undertaken by this office include:
- Pastoral & home visits
- Catechism
- Processing of ordination materials
- Confirmation & Baptism
- Preaching
- Devotions
Training
One is trained on the doctrines of church and on discipleship. This training is offered on a flexible schedule depending on ones availability. Catechism and holiday classes are also flexible to accommodate children taking both 8-4-4 and IGCSE Education SystemsTraining materials used during catechism include: The Bible, PCEA Practise and Procedure Manual and 'What I believe'; all of which are available in the church.
After confirmation the members name is added to the register and the member is issued with a membership card.
