Rev. Simon Kamande

Rev. Simon Ngugi Kamande joined PCEA Evergreen Parish in January, 2016. He has worked for the PCEA church for over 20 years and has served in various presbyteries and parishes. He has a great wealth of experience in liturgical matters. Rev. Kamande is married to Dr. Lucy Ngugi and they are blessed with 3 children.
Over the last few years, Rev. Kamande has steered a number of programmes at Evergreen. Notably among them is the Mashujaa Programme- A special Program to help the local community fight alcohol and drug abuse.

Church groups

Mashujaa

This is a church sponsored group established in 2016 to help youth around the area fight alcohol abuse. The group meets every Thursday at Beulah from 11.am-2.pm where they have a facilitator to guide them through.
The group has so far helped hundreds of indivuduals stop alcohol abuse and reform back to the society.

Youth Group

This is a group which serves teens aged 13-19 and youth aged 20- 35. The group is responsible for their spiritual growth, mentorship and guidance through social, economic and spiritual programmes.
Youth Services are held in the Everegreen Youth Tent every Sunday from 10:30.am to 12:30.pm

Church School

The church school is a ministry whose goal is to teach liturgy and provide guidance to children aged between 2 and 14 years old. This ministry offers wholistic education to children on Sundays during service hours. It also has various activities throughout the year which promote growth and cohesion among children.
